Festive fun in Saffron Walden kicking off this Saturday
This coming Saturday November 24 Lodges Vintage Buses will run a free service, funded by local businesses, between Audley End Village and George Street in Saffron Walden town centre. They’ll run every Saturday between now and Christmas every 30 mins from 10am to 5.30pm. You don’t need to be visiting the House or the Railway as it’s also free to anyone who fancies a trip in one of these iconic buses.
Brand new this year are a few competitions. For families with smaller children, there’s a Hunt for our special family of Saffron Walden Christmas Fairies and Elves. Children should look out for the cheeky Fairies and Elves hiding in shops around town. Competition Entry Forms are available from the Tourist Information Centre or to download from the below link. Drop your entry in to the Tourist Information centre. There are four prizes. The incredible first prize is a private steam train ride at Audley End Miniature Railway with a picnic in the woods for a lucky family group of 15 in late spring 2019.
To help you find your way around, there’ll be real-life Fairies and Elves flitting around town every Saturday. Find one of our reallife Fairies or Elves, take a selfie and post (to Public) on Facebook/Instagram stating #SaffronWaldenElfieSelfie for a chance to win. Most ‘Likes’ wins a prize.
There is plenty more to see and do. Get into the Christmas spirit and join the festive fun for all in Saffron Walden. Take part in the competitions for the chance to win some great prizes. You can enter the prize draw with any purchase over £5 from participating businesess on any day from this coming Saturday until Christmas Eve.
